MAKOTO restaurant [ Miami, FL ]

This is a perfect experience, highly recommended. Amazing food and ambiance.

Stephen Starr’s newest Japanese restaurant, located in the Bal Harbour Shops. Makoto features a modern Japanese menu including sushi bar selections, modern Japanese dishes, and charcoal robata.

One of my favorite italian restaurants in London. Authentic italian cuisine + amazing wine list. For dessert order the Caffe allo zabaione, superb!

My new acquisition

WHISK GOURMET [ Miami, FL ]

Some of my favorites include: Fried green tomatoes, the Whisk burritos, bacon-wrapped dates, key lime pie (still the best I’ve ever had, even from Key West), and the turkey and brie sandwich. Although these items are always on the menu, I’d also suggest venturing onto their daily specials menu. Everything is always amazing and fresh!

TUDOR HOUSE [ Miami, FL ]

Tudor House, presided over by Chef Geoffrey Zakarian - the renowned culinary name behind New York hot spots The Lambs Club and The National, cookbook author and top Food Network personality - occupies the ground floor corner space of the Dream South Beach Hotel and what was once the Tudor Hotel, keeping reverence for the building’s history and simultaneously reinventing it. The restaurant’s light, airy décor combines a unique perspective on modern design with accessibility that feels utterly Miami. The venue is adorned with stitched leather banquette seating and back-lit teak screen partitions, while the outdoor dining areas are furnished with striking teak benches, smoked glass dining tables and flowing floor-to-ceiling curtains. Inside, the bars - which once served as the check-in and concierge counters in the 1930s - highlight the original Art Deco aesthetic, skillfully marrying modern design with a storied history, a tactic that Zakarian champions and uses often to inform his restaurants and cooking.

Miami Art Basel 2011 Festival

Art Basel Miami Beach is the most important art show in the United States, a cultural & social highlight for the Americas. As the sister event of Switzerland’s Art Basel, the most prestigious art show worldwide.

A great place for viewing great work from all over the world.  This is the best time to be in Miami, too many events going down to even remember it all!
